Dragon Ball..!!

I remember when I was a child, with my brother and I saw “Dragon Ball”, “Dragon Ball Z” and “Dragon Ball GT”. We always saw it after school.

I was..may be, 10 or 12..I don’t remember and my brother was 7 or 9 years. We always saw all the chapters and all Dragon Ball movies. We know the name of all characters and his or her powers or skills, and who was the bad boy or girl and who was the good person.

The best thing about it..apart of the series, it was the time that spent  together. We played representing the characters and we created situation and..just played with our friends.

I always remembered this series with love because I saw it with my brother and, sometimes, with friends..but it was amazing because we were punctual to see it in “ETC” channel..

I saw other series, but I don’t remember so much about it or I didn’t like as Dragon Ball. I can say that another series that I saw was “Sailor Moon” and..obviously, I represented “Serena” the principal character.

I remember too that I was in love of “Gohan” xD and I was so angry when he got married with “Videl” Santan’s daughter.

I love him! <3

I’m so proud to see an anime show..although, I like that style and in my childhood I was like an “Otaku” style, but It was a short time xD..now I’m normal!! xD

I like that series and I will remember with love forever.

Technology!!

I like technology!!! But there are many things that a I don’t understand about some technological things like the difference between “LCD” and “Plasma” for me..is the same things! Both are television!! And do the same!

I like so much cell phone! I can say that is my favourite technological thing! My cell phone is like my best friends! Because my cell phone are with me all day and all night! And it sleep with me!, my cell phone wakes me up in the morning and it do everything that I need! (It would be wonderful if make me breakfast xD).

My last cell phone (that I use today) is “Galaxy mini” and is green!! It is too beautiful!..this cell phone was a gift to me from my father :D

I use mi cell phone all day, every minute and second, I can’t live without it because is like my life in a little gadget. I can’t live without my cell phone, I’m always with it and I use it as a clock, alarm clock, camera, even play some games like “Angry birds” ( I love that game xD) and..I have a lot of music on the phone!!

It is an excellent company to any place!! =)

I don’t have one favourite photo. Photos that I have meaning for me are about my family, but today I’m going to talk about many photos these have the same meaning..

Photos are about fantasy!, I don’t know who makes all these beautiful pictures, but I think that those people have a good imagination and..for me..make me feel that these places exists!!, I don’t know where or how, but somewhere in the Universe exist!..

Make me feel quiet, at peace, relaxed and make me feel that all evil doesn’t exist, it disappears I feel great!! It’s something that I can’t explain with words! >.<

I’m thinking, maybe doesn’t exists this perfect place, but in my dreams yes!..I dream with a utopian place where we can see the sun with Jupiter in the same sky! Or to see many moons in the nights! Or to see all those things that is impossible in the real life!

I’m a dreamy girl! And I really like so much these fantasy things like fairy, maybe it sounds something childish u.u but I would like to be a fairy xD! And live in that utopian place, where everything is too happy!

I hope these pictures show and understand why I like all these things. :P

Egypt!!!

Pyramids, El Cairo.

I always dreamed of studying archeology, but here in Chile is very difficult because that career is not here, I would have to travel far to study what I always liked, the country…and I always dreamed of visiting, working and living there, in Egypt.

I love this country because it is very mysterious and as I wrote in the previous post, it is interesting, mysterious, it has rich history and provide more stories to discover such as the Pharaohs, jewelry or gold things..find out more secrets of this culture so wonderful.

El Cairo

I would like to know important places like capital city “El Cairo”, the “Nile River” and “Alexandria”. These places are famous as the pyramids, the ancient civilization (since 4000 BC) and its monuments as the “Great Sphinx”.

Egypt is located in the northeast of Africa, is occupied, mostly by the “Sahara Desert”, which is crossed by the Nile River, which irrigates the only fertile land of the country.

The Nile River has always been very important for the survival of the people of Egypt.

I only interest this part of Egypt, I don’t interest the music style, typical food, politics, transportation, economy or things like that..only I’m interested in culture, language and hieroglyphics, nothing more.

I also, I would like to continue studying there and work and, obviously, live in that country. I dreamed that I traveled to there and I stay to live there. That’s my dream and I hope to get it one day!! >.<

I love Egypt! and it’s interesting culture!.

Egyptian Mythology!! Cats!

I love Egyptian Mythology because it is so interesting and mysterious; we can see the great cult of death, pyramids, pharaohs, iconography, half-animal gods half person, the intellectual advances in areas such as mathematics or the subject of embalming. All these things and more is so marvelous if we think in the year that they were living.

In old Egypt, the animals were represented   in paintings, prints and sculptures, symbolizing the power of the animal. One of the signs that show the big interest in animals is the fact that gods are half person and half animal in most of time.

The animals were surrendered more cult were the cat, the crocodile and the beetle. I'll talk about the cat, because I love this animal and I think that the cat has a mysterious story that makes it so interesting!!

I’ll talk about a female god, her name is Bast. She is a goddess of the Egyptian mythology that is identified with the figure of the cats. Many times, she is represented with woman’s body and cat head or simply as a cat.

She embodies the feminine and she is the goddess of the happiness music, besides being the employer of the home. She is associates with the moon and she protected the births and pregnant of illnesses and bad spirits. Also, she symbolizes the fertility and feminine virtues.

Her representation of a cat is incredible because, for cat nature is a big animal of fertility and a protective mother of her puppies. 

If someone accidentally killed a cat, they were punished with the death. The cats that died were embalmed and sent to a cementery. 

I’ve never gone to a concert in my life..it’s sad, I Know, but..for that reason today I’ll talk about a singer, a big singer in the story. The name is Michael Jackson!

Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana, on August 29, 1958 and his dead was Los Angeles, California on June 25, 2009 u.u!!

He was a big singer, artist, dancer, music composer, businessman, etc. His career started when he was 5 years old in a band called "Jackson 5" with his brothers. But then he separated of them in 1971 and he started a career like a singer. He was famous with his first performance called "Thriller" in 1982..it was the best-selling album of all time, this album was so successful than he wanted to create a short movie with that song..I think that is the best job in the music story!! If you don’t listen and/or see it, you have to do it! Because it’s amazing.

He was the best singer-song writer ever seen! He was recognized during his career with the nickname of "King of Pop". His music included extensive subgenres as the rhythm & blues (soul and funk), disco and dance. He was influenced by contemporary artist as Little Richard, James Brown, Diana Ross, David Ruffin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Bee Gees.

My favorite song is "You are not alone"..the meaning of this song is so beautiful and romantic that I die when listen this song and his voice is marvelous!!! :3



Tourism bus



My ideal dream job is to work in another country, a country of my dreams..it is Australia, specially Sydney because is so beautiful and the monuments are incredible! In general, the place is wonderful!

Sydney University

With my best friend from high school we had a plan, in those years, the dreams were so easy..but now it’s impossible xD. We wanted to go to live to an apartment, a big apartment and to decorate as we want (now my friend is studying at the university). We wanted to work in whatever that we want, but I wanted to work in something that implicates English like a teacher or tourist guide in a cruise. The last thing is interesting because I need to know about the culture of Sydney and it’s so fantastic!! I love to learn news customs!

Opera House

I would like to work only the week and have the weekend for me and go out to fun >.< and obviously earn many money to buy a Chevrolet corvette convertible car..I’ve always dreamed with to buy that one!! And visit the Sydney Opera House..it’s beautiful and amazing monument that I’ve never seen! (and the pyramids of Egypt..of course!).

My favorite TV show is "Scrubs". It is an American medical comedy-drama and it was created by Bill Lawrence.

This TV show is about the life of medical interns who work in Sacred Hearth teaching hospital. It offers characters talkative, jokers with fast-paced dialogue, surreal images, thoughts that are presented as dreams of the main characters. This special characteristic was focus in the principal character called Dr. John Dorian (J. D.).

I like this one because it’s fun and always..in the end of every episode..J. D. make a summary of what happened with each character represented in images, while he says the moral of the day. For me, the final is very important because the moral that he said..make me think about the life..is something like "reflections of life"..and it’s fun!!..is a happy comedy!! And I laugh all the time when I see it!. But sometimes it have sad endings..that make me cry so much!!..

I like this TV show because is about medical story that tell the life of every resident of the hospital. All this begins when John "J.D" Michael Dorian with his university partner and surgeon Chris Turk enter for first time to work in Sacred Hearth hospital. They met many people who will work all the time like Elliot Reid, Dr. Bob Kelso who is a medical boss at the hospital, Dr. Perry Cox who is a sarcastic doctor, but in his hearth..he likes to be with them like a family and finally the nurse Carla Espinoza, who..in the TV show..will be the girlfriend of Chris Turk.

And..I love Dr. Dorian!!! He is so beautiful and so sweet!!!..and cute..and everything!!(L)

Movies!! Movies!! ^^

I’ll talk about kind of movies that I like so much!..it is romantic movies. I love that because the love story is very beautiful between two people, but these relationship always will be difficult, I mean, they will have some inconvenient to be happy u.u

I always cry in the end of the movies because the drama that they have to overcome is too sad. The woman has to fight with the parents or the social class makes a big difference or whatever reason to separate the actors in the movie.

For example..there three movies that I like so much and these are Titanic (1997) by James Cameron with Leonardo Di Caprio (Jack) and Kate Winslet (Rose). It is a love story where Jack and Rose fall in love. They met in the ship, but her mother and her boyfriend made that this love be impossible.

Another movie is Notebook (2004) by Nick Cassavetes with Ryan Gosling (Noah) and Rachel McAdams (Allie). It is another love story where the parents don’t want to they be happy together because they have a big difference in economic and social class. So a rich woman have to marry with someone rich, not with a poor person…but this feeling is so strong and beautiful that these reason doesn’t matter..finally they are together and die together!!

And finally, the last movie that I love is The Lake House (2006) by Alejandro Agresti with Sandra Bullock (Kate Forster) and Keanu Reeves (Alex Wyler). You should see it, because it’s really wonderful and the final..you couldn’t imagine.

Culture Clash

Evangelize the natives.

The mean of "Culture Clash" is: two or more culture is disagree about their believe or way of life. Is a conflict between the interaction of people with different culture, beliefs, customs, habits and values.

I can say that a big "Culture Clash" was the "Discovery of America". In 1492 Cristobal Colón arrived to America with his tribulation. They had 2 missions to do in that foreign continent, these are:

1.- To obtain gold and silver.

2.-

 

So..the Spanish came to a village and the read a letter called "Requirements" where it explain that the person who don’t accept the religion and didn’t obey the King of Spain, they will have a "Just War" (it means "fair" because they had been notified) but they didn’t understand because everything that the Spanish read was in Spanish, a language that the natives didn’t know.

Finally, the European imposed their culture, religion, economy, society and polity by force.

They destroyed cities, art, books and any cultural event and for that we can’t know who the natives lived in their years.

For me..this is a important account because thanks to this we are as we know it today.

I don’t remember a experience about a Culture Clash, but I will like to have an opportunity to know a new culture.

Music:

The music for me is...something where somebody can express emotions or feelings such as love, frienship, family, etc. The music is a way or freedom to talk wherever that we want. 

In my opinion...I like romantic music because I'm a sensible person who loves singer when sing stories. One of my favorite singer is Ricardo Arjona, his songs are created with metaphors or comparisons, we shouldn't read the songs literally, we have to interpret it to understand what he says.

Another of my favorite singer is Sin Bandera... their songs are very sad about the situations that they have passed, these songs are like life experiences that they are shared through their song. Personally, I identify with their songs because there are situations that are equal to my love experiences.

There is a singer who has been very important to me since I was a child, he is Michael Jackson. I konw all his songs, some songs have more meaning than others. What I like about him is...his performances were always different and innovative than other singers. His concerts were very happy and out of the ordinary. His songs will always be remembered, like him. 

He will always be the King of Pop.

Bilingualism..

 The practice to use two languages called Bilingualism.

Is important to be bilingual in this world because several countries are already bilingual, but Chile is in the process of being, although there are many people who are bilingual. People who are bilingual, they are able to speak two or more languages, like English-Spanish. Not only must handle the speaking, but also to use physical expressions.

Remember that bilingualism is characterized by the alternation of two languages.

Bilingualism depends on a variety of social factors must be taken into account to encourage the  skills of bilingual speakers.

The adventajes of being bilingual are learning about other cultures, other countries, to meet foreingers, to get a job wherever it is needed these languages.

It might be a disadvantage, that the bilingual person should not mix languages in a conversation, simply talk to a language that can express themselves.

My personal opinion is being bilingual is very important in this life because you can do great things as to know several foreign countries and people, besides getting an interesting job..maybe in another country.

Writing for me is...

Writing..I like to write because it's another form of expression, not only talk. Writing is important for me because it is a way of communicating such as a chat, Facebook or texts mesagges..

For me, Writing, in my mother tongue, is easier because it is the language most used in daily life. Besides, all my essays were written in Spanish from the school and some essays at the University. So it is easier in my mother tongue.

In this course, I hope to learn or improve my writing expressing my thinking, feelings and emotions  in English. I hope to expand my vocabulary and to learn new words for bestwriting.

In conclussion...Writing is one of my favorite hobbies in moments of inspiration and free expression when I'm alone.
